Seal a House from Pests
If you want to keep cockroaches at bay you need to take time to seal up areas that they may be able to get in your house. Many times this is near your doors and windows. You can replace the weather stripping around the doors if they are loose or they are cracked and dried out. You can also look for small gaps near windows too and replace the weather stripping or caulk that area.
How Can We Protect Food from Pests?
Most people are good at keeping the main food cleaned up and put away but the crumbs are really all that it takes to get a cockroach to come in and partake of a delicious meal. The crumbs and left over food on dishes is what normally attracts these pests. Take any left over foods and seal them in a container that is airtight so that a pest is not able to get in. Remove any food particles from dishes each night and wash off the counters. The last step is to be sure that you sweep the floors to get the crumbs that were knocked off the counter.
