Bed bugs are extremely difficult to detect and control because of their small size, tendency to hide during the day, their ability to hitchhike a ride on luggage, clothes and furniture and finally the fact that they are prolific breeders. Female bed bugs lay up to five eggs a day and 500 during a lifetime!
