Applying ice to the area you got stung will help reduce inflammation which causes a lot of pain. Not only will it help the swelling go down, but it will also work to numb that area. It doesn’t have to necessarily be ice. You can use a bag of frozen vegetables or and ice cold bottle of water to get the same effect.
