German Cockroach Infestation
This is the most common cockroach found in the state of Texas. They can be identified by their tan color and the fact that they are not very big. They also have a darker brown line that runs parallel line that goes from their head to their wings. They have wings that are fully developed but they cannot fly. They prefer to hide out in kitchen and bathrooms where they have access to water and food most conveniently.
This is the next most common cockroach that you might find in our local area. They are one of the largest of the species of cockroaches and can be identified by their reddish dark brown coloring. They also have a yellow band of color behind the back of their head. They have fully developed wings and can actually take flight and many times do when they need to get away.
This is the third most common cockroach that you may find crawling around your home and property. This cockroach is not as big as an American cockroach and they are black in color. They also have a set of wings that have fully developed but they do not fly. They are found mostly outdoors but will come in to find shelter and food.

If you want to prevent cockroaches from entering your home you can start by keeping all food cleaned up and sealed tight. They can live on small amounts of food so you have to be diligent in cleaning counters and floors after each meal. You can also make sure that you have no gaps in the walls, doors and windows.
