What Do Asian Lady Beetles Look Like?

The multi-colored Asian lady beetles are slightly larger than most native lady beetles as the adult’s measure 3/8″ long 3/8″ wide. The color spectrum is a light to medium orange, native lady beetles have less spots, averaging 4-6 spots on their backs. As they feed on many of the different plant pests native beetles are considered beneficial insects and are not aggressive and very docile. However, the Asian lady beetles are far more aggressive and will bite people and do not provide any beneficial behaviors.
