– Nesting: When mice get into your home, they are going to get busy in building a nest for their young. Mice reproduce at an alarming rate which means that nesting is a priority for them. They will be looking for materials like cardboard, tape, insulation, fabric and other soft materials that they can shred to make a soft nest for their babies.
– Gnawing: Mice and other rodents are chewers. They will chew on pretty much any surface. If you see gnaw marks in some of the packaging your food comes in, marks on furniture, gnaw marks on wiring, or any other surface in your home, there are mice that you need to work to get rid of.
– Noises: You will more than likely hear them hustling around your home too. You might hear rustling in the walls, the ceiling, or even behind your furniture when mice have gotten into your home. It can sound like a faint scratching sound. If you hear it, act quickly.
– Rub Marks: This one might sound weird, but when mice are squeezing through small surfaces, they will leave behind oily, dirty marks on the sides of the walls.
